SarSentry: A breakthrough in forest monitoring. Latest results SarSentry forest monitoring system in Pará.

 

This short video presentation shows recent test results of the implementation of SarVision’s near real time SarSentry forest monitoring system in the State of Pará in Brazil. The radar based SarSentry system is unique in its accuracy and inclusion of forest degradation that is currently not detected by other existing wide area forest monitoring systems. The system is able to quantify the degradation intensity and is thus very suitable to monitor selective logging and other activities under the forest canopy. It is also used for biomass and carbon assessments and providing evidence of sustainable managed forests.
